This was Derek's first time trick-or-treating! We showed him how to do it a couple times and then he knew what to do from there. He catches on pretty quickly! We had a lot of fun and Derek was always the center of attention everywhere we went.
Derek kept taking all of this lady's candy, but she didn't mind. We had to move him out of the way though so the other kids could get some too.
By the time we came to this house, he was really good at trick-or-treating. He even knocked on the door himself! He made a mistake though by trying to open the door and grabbed onto the handle right as the man opened his door. Next thing I knew, Derek was flying through the air! I couldn't believe that he was able to hang on so tight! haha
After all of the excitement, we came home and carved pumpkins. We got three, but only ended up carving one so we made pumpkin puree with one of the left over pumpkins. We will make pumpkin pie soon! Yum!
